While I've posted a lot about the party members that would be available in Shattered Destinies, it's important to note that plenty of other characters from the wider world of RPGs could still make very important contributions to the ongoing efforts to mend the multiverse. For anyone familiar with the Suikoden series, you already know that the list of recruitable characters goes well beyond those suited for combat, and I see no reason that we can't do the same here. As we established that our party's base of operations would be a combination of The Lighthouse from Dragon Age: Veilguard and Balamb Garden from Final Fantasy VIII, we're going to have plenty of space and need more than a few extra sets of hands to keep things running smoothly, so today's post will go over just a few of these characters and what they'll bring to the game.

The anthropomorphic children of war from the Fuga series are easily the most obvious choice for me. During the multiverse shattering event, they all get separated and sent to different worlds. As we find them, they get sent to our base where they either open or expand things for us to do. Having plenty of experience piloting large war machines, they'd feel right at home in Balalmb Garden, and could even serve to man the weapons if needed. They also have experience farming and raising livestock, cooking, and laundering clothes. Finding and recruiting them could open new minigames based on how many or which one the player finds. While they'd never see active combat roles, they would quickly prove invaluable in maintaining our base and keeping morale up.

While we already have Claude as our Fire Emblem rep in the party, there are plenty of other Fire Emblem characters we may encounter, and chief among them is Anna. A recurring character in the franchise, an Anna has appeared in all but one of the Fire Emblem games, and while they're all technically different, they share a few similarities. Always optimistic and bold, this lineage of redheads are keen to go wherever a profit can be made, which usually means in close proximity to war. Though newer games have featured Anna as a playable unit, they're most often merchants. Like with the kids from Fuga, I can imagine the player encountering more than a few Annas in their travels. recruiting each one will unlock gear and equipment that they've found in their travels, which could be a unique blend of items for each individual Anna.

And finally, what's an RPG without some form of gambling minigame? While it's tempting to put Setzer from Final Fantasy VI in the party to once again fight alongside Cyan, I see him knowing where best he can serve the effort to restore the multiverse. As an experienced pilot with clear mechanical knowledge, he'd be keen to stay aboard Balamb Garden. Once more people are recruited so that he doesn't need to handle all the repairs himself, he'd see fit to upgrading the ship the only way he knows how: by installing a casino. While some may thing it a frivolous thing to do during a multiversal crisis, Setzer believes that everyone can do with a bit of downtime to kick back and relax. And if he can make a bit of coin while they do so, all the better.
